Farmington Baptist Church Upcoming Events & Prayer Needs 3-29-2021

Updated: Apr 1, 2021

Small Group will meet this week

Week of Prayer, March 28th-April 3rd. Prayer is a powerful tool that we do not fully utilize. Each day during this week of prayer, we would like for you to focus on specific needs for the ministry of Farmington Baptist Church in Zambia.

Sunday, March 28th - Pastor Michael Sikaonga. Pray that he will clearly hear the Lord's plan for this church. Pray for him as he disciples men to walk along beside him.

Monday, March 29th - Church Property. The church purchased land in January and they have constructed a temporary, non-waterproof structure to meet in. Pray for the vision that Pastor Michael has for the land, which includes a permanant church building, a medical clinic, and a school.

Tuesday, March 30th - Souls to be saved. Pray that the people of Zambia will see their need of a savior. Pray for discipleship of new believers.

Wednesday, March 31st - Church's children and youth groups. Pray as they meet together to learn bible stories and instruction on how God wants them to live.

Thursday, April 1st - Singing groups. Pray for the church's singing groups to be encouraged and see the Lord working in the church.

Friday, April 2nd - Future mission team. Pray as a team from FBC plans to travel to Zambia. Pray for safety, that there will be no passport issues, and that their transportation will go smoothly.

Saturday, April 3rd - Funding. Pray that we, FBC, may be able to provide the monies needed for a waterproof church building where they can meet to worship the Lord. In Zambia, the cost for this building is $8000. Please give as the Lord leads. There will be special Mission envelopes set out for any donations. We will be collecting these special donations through Sunday, April 11th.

Ignition - High School, meets this week on Tuesday, March 30th at 3:30

NO Regular Wednesday night activities this week! All activities will resume next week on April 7th.

Floating Communion, Thursday, April 1st from 6:30-8:30pm. Drop by the church any time between 6:30 -8:00 for a time of prayer, reflection, and to take communion. The floating nature enables you to remember the death of Christ at your own pace, giving you the opportunity to have a time of purely personal worship and communion. Childcare is provided.

We will also be taking up a Benevolence Offering to help meet the needs of those in our church and community.

Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday, April 3rd at 11:00am for toddlers - 5th grade. Kids, come join us as we hunt for eggs on the trails while hearing the gospel story. The trails will start promptly at 11:00 so you don't want to be late! Be sure to bring your Easter baskets for the hunt and parents, bring a blanket and/or chairs for a hot dog lunch afterwards.

Easter Morning Coffee Shop, April 4th, from 9-9:25 & 10:30-10:55am. We will have coffee, doughnuts, and juice under the portico before both services. Come for a time of fellowship before we go into the sanctuary to hear the message from God's word.
